We listened to Kansas City Star Columnist, Lewis Diuguid, talk today (then of cos there was a fabulous dessert buffet which i did not touch a morsel of cos i was so full from dinner, it's a pity cos i reallie like the cakes there). We were thick skinned enough to ask 4 a foto. I mean with every important person you see it's always good to sneak out.

This was in conjunction with the Martin Luther King's Day celebrations and so of cos the sbj matter was race. Well race is a big thing, kinda touchy here in America and so it was of interesting subject matter, the talk. But then as this guy was like talkin talkin...my fren got bored and was sinkin in her seat rite! and i was like...okie...hullo!!you don't like doze of in something like this man. I mean everything that was being said at that moment (if i even manage to catch and comprehend it all) is serious, important stuff and it's like so not right to even DISPLAY disinterest. And i just dont see how anyone found it boring. I mean yes the speaker was kinda not a very good speaker cos he was going to fast but man he's a very clever guy and all that intelligent stuff that was coming out...i mean, you don't get speeches like these in SIngapore!Helloooo.

Well anyway, being here with all the jorunalism air ard me, inflitating every pore, is kinda convincing me to become one too although i always wanted to do film. But this idea is beginning to get planted in my head so suddenly journ doesn't seem like such a bad idea too. I mean, jaded or otherwise, journalism might be one of the most sacred and intellectually stimulating jobs around. But it doesn't pay well. WELLLLLL
